PCBA BeeCurious Beekeeping Certification Class for Beginners
& the PCBA BeeCurious American Honey Show on Saturday

This in-person beekeeping class prepares new and experienced beekeepers alike how to start beekeeping. This is a certification class–backed by the CSBA and the ABF. Experienced beekeepers will teach you about: bee biology, where to put your hives, where to purchase necessary beekeeping equipment and hardware, how to install your bees, how to perform hive inspections, how to manage your colony throughout the year, about current pest management, diseases and treatments, how to harvest and sell your honey, how to protect your bees from pesticides–and, how to plant for pollinators.

- The 2026 PCBA BeeCurious American Honey Show is open to all Colorado residents.
- Entries may include raw honey, homemade food or any product with honey as an ingredient. (see rules for important details)
- Entries must be received on Saturday, March 28th between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Rawlings Library in Pueblo, Colorado.
- Entries are $10 for the first entry, and $2 per additional entry.
- 1st - 6th Placed winners will receive a ribbon.
- Entries can be picked up by 4 pm on Sunday.
