Education

Discounts
Members receive educational and PCBA event discounts, and on special sponsor products and services, like: hive equipment, beekeeping supplies, bee packages and nucs, queens, etc.
NewBee Program
NewBees can be paired with a volunteer Mentor--an experienced beekeeper and PCBA member (with at least 2 years experience).
Equipment Rentals
PCBA has disease and pest treatment equipment and a honey extractor that members can rent to use--saving hundreds of dollars by not having to purchase new equipment.
Volunteer Opportunities
PCBA hosts booths at events throughout the year to promote honey bee husbandry. We also get invited to conduct presentations at schools and to special groups, through our dedicated volunteer program. Sign up!
*Remember, you will need 4 Volunteer Hours to be able to sign up for the Swarm List.
Youth Scholarships
Youth members (up to age 18) can apply for an individual scholarship to cover the purchase of bees and/or equipment.
College-bound youth members (aged 18+) can apply to the Annual PCBA Steve Gibson Ag Scholarship.These funds are raised in part from our Annual Steve Gibson Chance Drawing.
